On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at approximately 1150 hours, Chief Wendel Cofer informed Lieutenant Patrick Trolinger of reported Scams amongst local medical businesses, Decatur County, Ga; such as Dr. Height with Bryan-Hight Veterinarians, Dr. Adams with Bainbridge Family Dentistry, Dr. Chad Tuten with One Source, Steve Allen with Regional Therapy and Dr. Mills Dentistry and Orthodontics.

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, Investigator Vincent Edmond was located on duty at the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office. Investigator Edmond received a phone call from Ramsey Simmons from Elberta Crate and Box Company. Simmons advised Investigator Edmond that his co-worker Todd Mills wanted to speak to Investigator Edmond about some guns that were stolen from his son.

On Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 at 2004 hours, Deputy Garrett Wooten received a phone call from a concerned citizen about a reckless driver coming into Georgia on Highway 27, from Florida. Deputy Wooten arrested Ortiz and transported him to the Decatur County Jail, where he was charged with DUI and Driving Unlicensed.
