Tommy White was born November 1, 1945 in Blakely, GA, the son of Boyd and Susie McCracken White. He made his home in southwest Georgia where he worked with Industrial Air for several years and then worked as a carpenter until his retirement. Tommy was Baptist by faith.

Many will remember Tommy for “visiting”. He loved to ride the neighborhood on his golf cart and keep a check on things. He would strike up a conversation with anyone willing to talk. Tommy’s family and friends held a special place in his heart and he spent his days
sharing stories (sometimes a little embellished) of their shenanigans.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley E. White; his children, Donna Avery and her husband, Tommy, and Christy Adams and her husband, Scott, all of Bainbridge; his siblings, Eunice Waller of Blakely, Evelyn & William Powell also of Blakely, Carolyn & Brian Glass of Bainbridge, Diane Brock also of Bainbridge, Laura Musgrove of Colquitt, and Rodney & Shirley White of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Ashlie, Chris & Emily, Morgan, Josh & Malori, Garrett & Caylee and Kendall; and his great-grandchildren, Sydni, Finley, Sam and Brodie. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Linda Bryan and Sarah Glover.
