On Friday, July 13, 2018, at 0957 hours, Lt. Justin Bedwell met with Teresa McCormick in the lobby of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office. McCormick reported to Lt. Bedwell that she had a dispossessory served on her daughter, Patty Durden. This dispossessory removed Durden from McCormick’s residence at 194 Ruth Drive. McCormick reported her daughter has been returning to the property, and she believes Durden stole a refrigerator from the residence.

On Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at 1625 hours, Deputy Garrett Wooten was traveling south on Vada Road, near its intersection of Andrew Avery Road, when he observed a silver in color Chrysler Sebring traveling north bound on Vada Road. Deputy Wooten observed that the vehicle matched the description of a vehicle that was just stolen out of the city of Bainbridge at 1600 hours.
