Benjamin Harrell Appointed Climax City Attorney

CLIMAX, GEORGIA: At the August 14th meeting of the City Council for the City of Climax, the Council voted to appoint attorney Benjamin David Harrell, of Harrell & Lewis, LLC, as the new City Attorney, effective immediately. Mr. Harrell brings over five years of experience serving as legal counsel for municipal, county and governmental entities including Calhoun County, Georgia and the City of Morgan.

Mr. Harrell lives in Bainbridge with his wife, Bridget, and their three daughters, Nicole, Callahan and Arrington. “I’m honored by the opportunity to serve as legal counsel for the City of Climax and I look forward to working with Mayor Hadsock, the City Council and the citizens of Climax,” Harrell said. Harrell also serves as Solicitor-General for Decatur County and will continue to operate his private practice, representing clients throughout Southwest Georgia.

The City Attorney is responsible for administration of the legal affairs of the City, represents the City in litigation and hearings, prepares or reviews all ordinances, contracts, and other legal instruments, and renders legal advice and opinions to the City Council and other departments.

  1. I hired Mr. Ben Harrell January of this year for a murder charge among other charges for my son. I was very pleased. With my work schedule I didn’t have to attend alot of hearings Ben handle it and kept me informed. My son won his case and I recommend Ben to anyone in Mitchell County and surrounding areas.
