Dr. Jerry Murawski, 80, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 4, 2017.
The memorial mass service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Victor M. Canela, S.T. officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
The Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home followed by visitation starting at 6:30 p.m. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com.

Jerome Alexander Murawski was born June 25, 1937 in Harvey, IL, the son of Alexander and Jane Zielinski Murawski. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He practiced dentistry for 15 years in Brook, IL and in 1977 escaped from the cold weather with a move to Bainbridge, GA. He practiced dentistry at Southwestern State Hospital for 26 years. Dr. Murawski was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Brook Lions Club.
Known as a straight shooter, Dr. Murawski would tell it like he saw it. He enjoyed fishing, a good round of golf, and was an excellent pool player. His jokes enlightened the visits with family and friends. Of course the tales of those adventures were definitely from his perspective. Dr. Murawski had a heart of gold and often did for others quietly.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ann Towns Murawski; his children, Joellyn M. Lott and her husband, John, of Bainbridge, GA, Shari M. Allen and her husband, Jamie, also of Bainbridge, GA and Nick Murawski and his wife, Kat, of Milton, FL; his brothers, Ted Murawski and his wife, Louise, of Hickory Hills, IL and Rich Murawski and his wife, Gerry, of Naperville, IL; his grandchildren, Craig T. Weaver, Lauren Lott Justice, Chris Lott, Alex Allen and Megan, and Jessica A. Faulk and Don; and his great-granddaughter, Addie Justice. In addition to his parents, Dr. Murawski was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Walter J. Murawski.
