Dana Thrash Connell

July 6, 1967 – January 8, 2018

Dana Thrash Connell, 50, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018.

The graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Calvary Assembly of God Cemetery with Rev. DeWitt Phillips officiating.

Dana Darlene Thrash was born July 6, 1967 in Montgomery, AL, the daughter of Rodney Thrash and Nancy Kincaid Thrash. She was a certified nursing assistant and managed the Dairy Queen in Bainbridge until her retirement.

Dana’s grandchildren topped the list of things she loved most. She never let a moment pass to have fun and make memories with them. She enjoyed golf, even watching others play golf, gardening, and tending to her chickens and goats. Dana was a strong supporter of Florida State football and didn’t mind yelling “Go ‘Noles” at the drop of a hat.

Survivors include her son, Brent Connell and Crystal Weaver of Bainbridge; her siblings, Elizabeth Potter and her husband, B.J., of Blountstown, FL and Terry Thrash of Mobile, AL; and her grandchildren, Dane, Lynnlei, Austin, Jeremy, Sarah, Aaron, Hanna, Hunter, Katylyn, Gage, Logan and Zoe. In addition to her parents, Dana was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Connell, and her sister, Rhonda Neal.
