Iva M. Yon, 87, of Bainbridge, GA, formerly of Panama City, FL and Himmel, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Paul Ensminger officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. (CST) at the mausoleum Chapel of Peace Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Iva Mae Holt was born September 1, 1930 in Himmel, MO, the daughter of Chester William Holt and Ada Morine Lingle Holt. She married Norman Yon and made their home in Panama City, FL. She was a member of Panama City First Assembly of God where she led the Women’s Ministry.
Iva owned Pan Handle Realty of Bay County and worked until her retirement as a real estate broker. Her strong work ethic and friendly spirit caused everyone who encountered her to like her. Iva’s million dollar smile always made a lasting impression on those she met.
Survivors include her daughters, Patti Crawford and her husband, John, of Cairo, GA and Kaye Holmes of Panama City Beach, FL; her sisters, Dorothy Altis, Ann Gibbs and Linda Meroni; her grandchildren, Robert Colbert and his wife, Korri, and Jimmy Colbert; her great-grandchildren, Heather Wisham and Kate Colbert; and her great-great-grandchildren, Cadence Marchant, Spencer Marchant and Rebekah Wisham. In addition to her parents, Iva was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Yon; and her siblings, Richard Holt, Lester Holt, J.C. Holt, Dale Holt, Barbara Driskill and Phyllis Holt.
