March 5, 2018, Bainbridge, GA – Bainbridge Health and Rehab, a member of the Mission Health family of healthcare communities, is pleased to announce they have been recognized by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) for their achievements through the Quality Initiative Recognition Program, which honors member facilities for their individual work in achieving AHCA/NCAL Quality Initiative goals.
The Quality Initiative was launched in 2012 by AHCA/NCAL as a national effort to build upon the existing work of the long term and post-acute care profession. The Initiative aims to further improve quality of care in skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities by challenging members with specific, measurable targets.
“This achievement represents not only improvement on a set of quality measures in this center but also significant improvements in outcomes among the elderly it serves, such as fewer hospitalizations, more discharges back to the community and stopping the use of antipsychotics that can be harmful,’ said Dr. David Gifford, AHCA/NCAL Senior Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs. ‘We applaud Bainbridge Health and Rehab for making a different in the lives of their patients and residents.”
