On Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at approximately 0954 hours, Investigator Robert Humphrey was traveling south east on Highway 310 and stopped at the end of the intersection of a dirt lane and highway 310 which was approximately .7 tenths of a mile from Ten Mile Still Road. Investigator Robert Humphrey observed a Ford Ranger parked on the dirt lane which had the driver’s door open and appeared to have been burned.

On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 1256 hours, Lt. Justin Bedwell arrived at Long Farms, located at 2822 Old Whigham Road in Decatur County, Georgia. Upon arrival, contact was made with Kelli Long. Long reported that the previous night (July 9, 2018) she was counting money earned at the farm. Long stated a fifty-dollar bill didn’t feel right, and when she used a counterfeit detection marker, it turned an improper color.

On Monday, July 9, 2018, at approximately 1104 hours, Lieutenant Patrick Trolinger made contact with Judy Josey via phone regarding a Trespassing Complaint. Josey told Lt. Trolinger, her tenant, Frankie Patrizi, at 212 Slough Loop Rd., told her that the neighbor, Mark Strops (204 Slough Loop Rd.), came on to their property uninvited.
