Bainbridge Public Safety Purchases New Traffic Incident Management Trailer and Equipment

Bainbridge Public Safety Deputy Director Frank Green and Fire Chief Doyle Welch worked together to apply for a safety grant that was used to purchase a new, fully-equipped “Traffic Incident Management Trailer.”

According to Green, the trailer will be used in all types of situations including city sponsored events, road closures and detours, and emergency scenes. The trailer is equipped with 150 orange traffic cones, 40 barricades, and 6 advance warning signs, as well as lights, traffic flags, flashlight wands, and vests.

Chief Welch stated, “We were able to bring the new trailer to the Earle May Boat Basin on July 4th to set up barricades for the City of Bainbridge Fireworks Event, and it worked out nicely to have all of the equipment in one place and easily accessible.”
