On 08/03/2018, Inv. Terry Phillips was investigating the theft of a large homemade barbeque grill from Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Dept. (see incident report # 18080014392). Inv. Phillips received information and other evidence to support that the suspects concerning the grill theft used a Ford, Single cab, dual rear wheel, U-Haul, truck with a short box bed to commit the theft from Mt. Pleasant fire Department on 08/01/2018 at around 21:00 hours. I

On Wednesday, August 08, 2018 Deputy Charles King was located on Highway 97 South approximately a half mile South of Horseshoe Bend Road. Deputy King was using his company issued Decatur Electronics Genesis II radar system to monitor traffic. Deputy King observed a vehicle approaching at a fast rate of speed.

On August 9, 2018 at approximately 0129 hours, Deputy Ariel Varner was traveling North Bound on Highway 84 East and saw a blue in color vehicle on the South bound side of Highway 84 East with their hazardous lights on. Deputy Varner turned around and headed towards the vehicle.
