Ms. Donnie Susan Ritter, age 76, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at her home in Attapulgus, Georgia. Services for Ms. Ritter will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Rev. DeWitt Phillips will officiate. Dusty King, Jazz Knight, Corey McNease, Tony Mirick, Steven Ritter, and Steve Vines will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. She will be interred in the Attapulgus Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sue was born January 7, 1942 in Bainbridge, Georgia. Her parents, Vernaway Ritter and Ida Mae Strickland Ritter have both preceded her in death. Sue last worked in the Deli at the Georgia Factory for the Blind. Donnie Sue Ritter was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved to be with her family. She was also a great cook. She will be deeply missed by her large family and many friends.
Donnie Susan Ritter is survived by her children, Patricia Susan Mirick and Anthony Paul Mirick; brothers and sisters, Jean Givens, William Ray Ritter, Vernon Lee Ritter (Delores), Preston Wayne Ritter (Cindy), Johnny Ritter, Mary Ann Green, and Norman Malcolm Ritter (Patty); 2 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Johnny Lamar Mirick, brothers, Townzie Ritter and Jimmy Uz Ritter; and sister-in-law, Pat Ritter.
