Charles Carroll Bell, 82, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Jerry Harrell, Bennie Brookins and Felecia Caraball officiating.  Mike Phillips, Wendell Waddell, Chris Kelley, Gerald McConnell, Ray Boyett, John Waddell, Sr. and Craig Sheffield will serve as active pallbearers.

Charles Carroll Bell was born January 27, 1936 in Ripley, MS, the son of Earl and Gladys Yates Bell. He was a high school graduate who proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Charles was a self-employed carpenter making his home in Decatur County since 1970. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church.

Charles Bell believed in helping others and that there was nothing a good day’s work couldn’t cure. He enjoyed reading, especially non-fiction pieces, and NASCAR. Being detail oriented, Charles knew every detail mattered and made sure every detail was included in special memories for his family.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Willa D. Bell; his children, Buddy Bell and his wife, Jennifer, and Sharon Morrison and her husband, Matthew; his siblings, Milton Bell, David Bell and Chris Gray; his grandchildren, Kerry Waddell, Caroline Bell and Katherine Bell; and his great-grandchildren, George Waddell and Savannah Waddell. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his siblings, Butch Bell and Ann Bell.
