On Monday, December 31, 2018, at approximately 0029 hours, Deputy Gabriel Cofer was on patrol on Airport Road in Bainbridge, Georgia. Deputy Cofer was located at the intersection of Airport Road and Spring Creek Road when Deputy Cofer observed a blue in color Dodge Charger pass by with a rainbow-colored under-glow light near the bottom of the vehicle. Deputy Cofer observed the light fade into a deep blue color and then fade out into a purple. Deputy Cofer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle near Westside Bait and Tackle on Spring Creek Road.
